Swin will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Myra, son Kyle, and daughter Kelly, and dog Marley. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother Ruth Smith; sister Syd Smith; mother-in-law Helen Mason; sister-in-law Vikki McLachlan (Jim) sister-in-law Marriane Long and his niece and nephews, Nicole, Collin, Gavin and Garry. Swin received his Engineering degree (Mechanical) from the University of Manitoba in 1975 and thereafter commenced employment with Dryden Pulp and Paper Mill. He moved back to Winnipeg in 1977 and began his employment with Dearborn Chemical where he was respected, valued and hardworking district manager. Swin continued to work for Dearborn during its transition to Betz Dearborn and finally Hercules. He showed a deep respect and commitment to his customers which was reciporcated in their high esteem of his work and character. Swins pride was his family, as he was theirs, and he worked hard to provide a comfortable and secure life for them. His second love was fishing for Walleye in the many lakes in Northwestern Ontario where he was a strong advocate of catch and release. Swin will be missed by all those he shared his love of fishing with. Swin was proud of his cottage in Minaki, ON that was his retreat and work-in-progress for the last 15 years. His final journey will be with his family to Minaki where he will come to rest in the place he loved most. There will be a celebration of Swins life on September 6 at 1:00 p.m. at his residence. All friends and colleagues are welcome to attend and raise a toast. In lieu of flowers, donations to cancer research would be appreciated. "We love you and we miss you Dad" NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
